Aloha Absolute Beginners!
At the first lesson, some of you asked me what uke should I buy??? My recommendations are as follows , in case you didn't hear me, it's according to budget. Value for money, a great sounding soprano ukulele is the Ashton mango wood uke. The next lively sounding uke is the Lanikai or Kala soprano or concert ukulele. They also make one which can be amplified for a bit more money, if you are planning to continue on your journey and join a group in your community. Those of you with larger hands and fingers, I recommend a tenor and you should expect to pay approximately double the cost of a soprano.. I hope this helps you when you purchase your first ukulele.
Buy the best one you can afford and you will have it for years. The better it sounds to you, the more it will encourage you to practice and enjoy your instrument. Don't forget to buy a digital tuner and a carry bag., if it doesn't come with one. Keep on smiling and don't stop strumming !!! :)) /o0
